It's a sneak peek at the new catalog that comes out on July 1st, but you don't have to wait til July 1st to get your own set. You can actually order it any time in April, either in Clear Mount or wood mount!
Last month my friend Julie Davison shared a tutorial on the fabulous Chalk Grid Technique, and I couldn't wait to try it out!
You basically use your Stampin' Pastels with a Sponge Dauber (or cotton ball) to add color splotches all over the white background cardstock. Then use a ruler and the eraser from the Stampin' Pastels to erase a lines to make the grid.
Isn't it the COOLEST?! I used it here as a background for my Awash with Flowers cut-outs.

The Satin Ribbon and the Corduroy Button here are both Basic Gray, so I stamped the outline images in Basic Gray ink to match.
This is a fabulous stamp set for using with the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (if you're a stamper who just *needs* to line things up perfectly). If you haven't used one before, be sure to check out my "how-to" video on using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig!
And in case you're wondering about the greeting, the inside is a 'belated birthday' message. I have to admit that I need *way* too many belated birthday cards ;-)
We're making this card at Stamp Club this week--be sure to let me know if you'd like to join us on Wednesday evening!
